Unfortunately, it was so expensive to produce that the venture ended in 1983. All the hardware is plated in 22-karat gold, and the second tone control has been replaced by a two-way selector switch, allowing for a wider range of sounds. This Stratocaster has seen better days: the Lake Placid Blue finish has faded to a beautiful Teal Green Metallic! The pickguard and a few screws are not original.
