It wasn&#039;t until 1967 that Gibson resumed production of the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). This particular guitar isn&#039;t the classic &#039;67 reissue; it&#039;s a Faded model with a satin finish completely worn down by years of playing. Indeed, it&#039;s not a heavy aged\/relic from the Custom Shop, just a guitar that has seen extensive live use! It has also been modified with the pickups replaced by active EMG KH-BB Kirk Hammett Bone Breaker signature pickups, with a ceramic magnet in the bridge position and an Alnico 5 in the neck position.
