The MB STU AMP 1000 is a signature bass amp head designed with bassist Stuart "Stu" Hamm, specifically geared towards rock, fusion, and highly articulate playing. It combines two independent preamps: a solid-state preamp for a clean, fast, and very precise sound, and an ECC83\/12AX7 tube preamp for warmth, grit, and saturation; the two can be blended, allowing for a range from a very clean tone to a fairly powerful overdrive. Power output is 1000W into 4 ohms and 600W into 8 ohms, with a proprietary Markbass MPT power section, and EQ is provided by a 7-band \u00b116dB control (40Hz, 80Hz, 250Hz, 400Hz, 1.2kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz). It also features active\/passive inputs, an effects loop, a tuner output, and an XLR DI with pre\/post EQ selection and ground lift.<\/p>\n
