In 1961, a major change occurred in the Gibson lineup: the Les Paul was discontinued to make way for the SG; well, almost, as it wouldn't officially adopt that name until 1963… On this 1965 Standard model, the Patent pickups measure 7.57 kohms in the neck position and 7.83 kohms in the bridge. This featherweight 3.1 kg guitar boasts the beautiful Vibrola Lyre tremolo. The neck is relatively thin on this particular guitar, measuring 40 mm at the nut. No damage, no repairs, everything is original except for the tremolo arm retaining nut.
