Want to put your guitar on consignment?

Selling your prized possession can sometimes be a challenging process. To make things easier, you can entrust it to us on consignment; what are the advantages?

  • Sell faster: Your instrument listed with bassNguitar will be visible on our platform as well as on all French and international classifieds websites. The instrument you wish to sell is also fully described, and we photograph it from every angle to showcase its best features. After all, photography is a skill that can't be acquired overnight! Our two stores in Paris and Avignon have a high volume of customers that's hard for private sellers to match; a musician might travel in for a standard model only to leave with your completely unknown instrument! Optimal visibility, a complete description, and flattering photos guarantee a faster sale.
  • Making your life easier: Selling your instrument means answering numerous emails and phone calls, scheduling appointments that may not lead to anything, handling shipping… In short, it takes time. Once your instrument is listed for sale with us, we take care of everything, from start to finish.
  • Tailored advice: Getting your instrument appraised is more complex than it seems. Between official valuations, the professional market, and private sellers, it can be difficult to know where to start. We advise you and set a price for your guitar together after an appraisal.
  • A limited cost: Our commission on the selling price is 20% for items listed above €150 and 25 % below €150.

Payment in installments.
To ensure your purchase goes smoothly for both your family and your bank, we offer payment plans of 2, 3, 4, 10, or 12 installments by credit card through our partner Alma. This service is available both in-store and for online purchases.

For payments in 10 to 12 installments:

Where do our products come from?

The instruments we sell come from all over the world: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and of course, France. We do our best to find the finest instruments wherever they may be in order to maintain a diverse inventory that includes both classic and rare models.

What work has been done on an instrument that we sell?

Every instrument that passes through bassNguitar has been disassembled, checked, cleaned, and set up (regarding setup, we are sellers, not luthiers) before being photographed and listed. This process allows you to know exactly what you're buying: we mention any parts that have been modified, replaced, improved, etc., and we strive to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the equipment we sell through a comprehensive photo portfolio.

Pick up one of your instruments.

To limit your financial outlay when purchasing one of our guitars, bassNguitar offers a trade-in service.

Rental service.

Because a specific instrument is sometimes needed for a given period, particularly for studio recording, we offer daily, weekly, or fortnightly rentals of our instruments (this does not apply to our entire catalog). Discounts are available upon request.

Expertise.

Every detail and every part of a vintage guitar affects its price. To determine the value of your instrument, we offer a comprehensive appraisal service that combines market data with our expertise. This appraisal can be accompanied by a complete photographic report if desired.

Special order.

Our catalog is extensive, but we don't carry every model that exists! If you're looking for a specific instrument, color, or year, we can find the right one for you. We have considerable experience importing instruments, including customs clearance, avoiding scams, and more. Our wide network gives us access to numerous opportunities.

Payment methods:

In-store we accept payments by credit card or cash. Remotely, payments are made by credit card or bank transfer.

Reservation :
Unless we have received a deposit, we do not make a reservation, even if you have scheduled a trial. However, if you have a scheduled appointment, we will inform you that the item you were interested in is no longer available.
