At the top of the Les Paul range reigns the Custom! Multi-ply binding, ebony fretboard, split-coil headstock, etc… it's a chic Gibson! This 1975/1976 example is a pure player: quite simply, apart from the wood and the electronics, everything has been replaced! Probably in the 80s, it was completely refinished, the pickups are DiMarzios for a powerful sound (though this is tempered by the mini-switches acting as coil splits), it was refretted, etc… etc… Which makes it a rather affordable old lady now!
