Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It wasn't until 1967 that Gibson resumed production of the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). This particular guitar isn't the standard '67 reissue; it's a rare Custom Shop model! It features Burstbucker pickups, a very comfortable neck, and is thicker than what's often found on this type of guitar. It comes in its original case with a certificate of authenticity.
