Gibson Firebird II Artist CMT 1982 Cardinal Red Refin

«The "Firebird" arrived on the market in 1963, and with its flamboyant look and neck-through design, it shook up the guitar landscape. Few musicians know that a version II appeared in 1981, drastically different from the first iteration. Instead of a neck-through, it's set like most of the rest of the Kalamazoo range, and it's made of maple except for the rosewood fretboard. The fretboard was modified, the top refinished in Cardinal Red, a third pickup was added, and the complex Moog electronics were removed. The neck position features a DiMarzio DP194 PAF-style pickup, while the middle and bridge pickups are Classic 57s. A mini-switch allows you to split the neck pickup, and another integrates the middle pickup into the circuit. Sold with its original case.
