Gibson SG Special 1965 Cherry

Description :

In 1961, when the Les Paul changed shape to become the SG, the Special followed suit, though it wasn't until 1963 that it finally received its definitive name: SG. Compared to a Junior, the neck features binding, a nice logo, and most importantly, a second P90 pickup! SGs from the '60s were fragile, and this one has suffered the consequences: a break at the body/neck joint, a repair to the electronics cavity, and, to mark the occasion, a small plaque in homage to the man who broke them all: Pete Townshend of The Who with "My Generation 1965." The wraparound bridge and the potentiometer knobs are not original. Simple and effective with its two P90s, it's the very essence of rock and roll! Sold in its original case.
