Music Man Saber II 1978 Sunburst

Music Man is Leo Fender's second brand, created in the 1970s (a third, G&L, would later emerge). The Stingray, an active bass, was an immediate success upon its release. In 1978, the Sabre appeared, a 25.5-inch scale, active bass. The difference between the I and II lies in the radius and the frets: the II offers a 7.25-inch radius and thinner frets (this particular one has been refretted with a refinished maple fingerboard). The pickups, combined with the electronics, allow for a very wide tonal palette on this vintage-style guitar made in the USA. Sold with a gig bag.
