Gibson Melody Maker D 1965 Cherry

The Melody Maker is Gibson's entry-level guitar. Even simpler than a Les Paul/SG Junior or a Special, it's a mahogany body fitted with a pair of single-coil pickups. This beautiful 1965 example is available thanks to, or perhaps because of, a headstock repair. It's worth noting that it's currently wired in series for a humbucker sound in the middle position, and the vibrola is missing. The truss rod cover, bridge, tuners, and pickup selector are not original on this vintage, American-made guitar, which weighs only 2.61 kg.
