Gibson SG Junior 1968 Cherry

In 1961, when the Les Paul changed shape to become the SG, the Junior followed suit, though it wasn't until 1963 that it finally received its definitive name: SG. In 1966, the model evolved with a larger pickguard. An essential accessory of the 60s, it features a Vibrola vibrato, incomplete here, and is therefore strung wraparound. Moreover, this tailpiece is not original, nor are the headstock veneer or the straps. These SGs are fragile: this one has been repaired at the headstock/neck and body/neck joints, which ultimately allows access to a true vintage American guitar at a more reasonable price. The P-90 pickup has retained all its ferocity over the last 57 years, making this vintage-made-in-the-USA guitar the perfect riff machine!
