Sold out

Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It wasn't until 1967 that Gibson relaunched production of the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). This is a very special version, as this particular guitar has not 6, but 7 strings! The pickups are active EMGs: a 707 in the bridge position and an 81 in the neck. While its black finish and gold hardware make it understated, it hides a fierce desire to unleash its power with its extra strings and powerful pickups! Completely original, sold in its hard case.
