The Metal Zone is one of the most famous distortion pedals. Designed for metal and hard rock, it offers very high gain with a dense, compressed saturation. Its main advantage is its 3-band active EQ with semi-parametric mids, allowing for precise tone shaping (especially the typical metal "scoop"). It can produce very sharp or very dark tones depending on the settings.
