In 1961, when the Les Paul changed shape to become the SG, the Special followed suit, though it wasn't until 1963 that it finally received its definitive name: SG. It still has its small pickguard and a relatively thick neck. Compared to a Junior, the neck features binding, a nice logo, and most importantly, a second P90 pickup! An essential accessory of the '60s, it's equipped with a Vibrola vibrato, but it can also be mounted as a wraparound. There's a small repair at the heel of the neck and a refret that makes this old lady perfectly playable. The original case (of mediocre quality, to put it politely) has been replaced by a much more protective Gator case. Simple and effective with its two P90s, it's the very essence of rock and roll!
