In 1956, Fender introduced two guitars aimed at beginners and those on a budget: the Musicmaster and the Duo-Sonic. In 1964, the Mustang was launched, its main difference from the Duo being the addition of a vibrato. Here is its modernized version: the American Performer! The electronics have been simplified, but the construction remains classic: 24-inch scale length, alder body, maple neck with a modern C profile, and a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. The pickups are from the Yosemite series. In very good condition.
