British Pedal Company MKI Tone Bender

The Tone Bender is a boutique fuzz pedal that faithfully recreates the very first Tone Bender MKI, which appeared in 1965 and was one of the first British fuzz circuits. Based on a three-transistor germanium circuit, it produces a very aggressive, almost gated and gritty fuzz with plenty of character and a short but intense sustain, typical of early fuzz effects of the era. The British Pedal Company reissue retains the vintage aesthetics and construction: a hammered retro enclosure, wiring true to the originals, and simple Attack and Level controls. Highly expressive, it reacts strongly to pick attack and guitar volume, offering a raw and wild sound associated with British rock and 1960s garage rock.
