Fender Mustang Competition 1974 Burgundy

3399,00

In 1956, Fender introduced two guitars aimed at beginners and those on a budget: the Musicmaster and the Duo-Sonic. In 1964, the Mustang was launched, its main difference from the Duo being the addition of a vibrato. The maple neck featured a rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius. With its two stripes, the Competition, offered from 1969 onwards, drew inspiration from the automotive world. This Burgundy (Blue) example has developed a superb patina. It's the same model, the same color, as the one used by Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), but… right-handed! Original except for the vibrato arm and nut. This particular guitar has just been refretted by luthier Jean-Baptiste Prodhomme and is sold in a generic case.
