Xotic Effects EP Booster

The EP Booster is one of the most famous clean boosts in the world. Inspired by the preamp of the Echoplex EP-3, used by the likes of Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, and Eric Johnson, it does more than just increase volume: it adds a subtle, musical coloration, with added warmth, harmonic richness, fuller bass, and silky highs. Its FET circuit offers up to +20 dB of boost, while two internal DIP switches allow you to adjust the EQ and the boost's character. Powered by 9 to 18 V (for more headroom), it's often used as an "always-on" pedal to add presence and depth to the sound, but works just as well to drive a tube amp or an overdrive pedal.
