Boss CS-2 Compression Sustainer made in Japan

The CS2 Compression Sustainer is one of Boss's most beloved vintage compressors. Produced from 1981 to 1989, it's renowned for its warm, musical, and highly expressive compression, a far cry from the transparency of modern compressors. Featuring three controls (Level, Attack, and Sustain), it allows you to even out note levels, increase sustain, and add body to the sound while maintaining excellent dynamics when properly dialed in. Its slightly colored character, due to its analog circuitry, is particularly appreciated for blues, country, funk, and classic rock, where it brings out attacks and thickens both clean tones and light crunches.
