The D45 sits at the top of the Dreadnough range: at Martin, the higher the model number, the more elaborate the details. Mother-of-pearl binding around the top and soundhole, ebony bridge and fingerboard, and so on. As for the construction, the top is Sitka spruce, the back and sides are rosewood, and the neck is mahogany. This particular guitar dates from 2005 and has been played, showing numerous signs of wear and tear, including the replacement of a binding piece at the heel of the neck. It has been amplified with an excellent LR Baggs Dual Source amplifier. Sold with its original case.
