Fender Jazz Bass 1972 NOS Custom Shop 1995 Natural Yamano

Introduced in 1960, the Jazz Bass quickly established itself as the benchmark in the market. This particular model features a 1970s design, with white block inlays (which have aged beautifully and have been refinished with a new fretboard by luthier Jean-Baptiste Prodhomme) on a 7.25-inch radius maple fingerboard, all complemented by binding around the maple neck. The body is made of ash, attached to the neck with a four-bolt neck plate. This J Bass is a Yamano model, intended for the Japanese distributor who, according to legend, had a more rigorous selection process for the instruments. Dating from 1995, it also comes from the John Page era, highly prized by Jazz Bass enthusiasts. Sold without its Certificate of Authenticity (one can be requested from Fender), in its original case.
