Introduced in 1960, the Jazz Bass quickly established itself as the benchmark in the market. Like the early models, this AVRI (now replaced by the American Original) features stacked knobs: one volume and one tone control per pickup, stacked on the control plate. This 1999 example shows numerous signs of wear, the back of the neck has been stripped of its finish for improved comfort, and it comes with a generic case.
