In 1956, Fender introduced two guitars aimed at beginners and those on a budget: the Musicmaster and the Duo-Sonic. In 1964, the Mustang was launched, its main difference from the Duo being the addition of a vibrato. This 1968 Dakota Red model, with a 24-inch scale, has a beautiful patina! Everything is original except for the vibrato arm and the potentiometer knobs. The B-shaped neck isn't too thin on this guitar. It comes with its lovely speckled gray case, reminiscent of salmon skin!
