This Custom Shop model combines the high-end quality of the Californian brand while avoiding the "issues" of pure reissues. Indeed, the 9.5-inch radius, medium jumbo frets, and 1960 oval C maple fingerboard make it very comfortable and easy to play. Further concessions to modernity include the High Mass bridge and the presence of not one pickup, but a pair of Seymour Duncan Stacked 1951 pickups (without any unwanted noise) coupled with Jazz Bass electronics. A chemical burn from a strap is noticeable, and the Closet Classic finish offers a nice crazing without going as far as relic finishes. Original condition, sold with its certificate of authenticity in its original case.
