In 1980, a "Special" model was released, now rare, featuring active electronics—the bass equivalent of the Stratocaster. With its gold hardware, matching headstock, and Lake Placid Blue finish, this example is stunning! It bears the marks of its 45 years of existence; everything is original, including its hard case.
