Fender Stratocaster 1961 NOS Custom Shop 2001 Surf Green Yamano

This Stratocaster, which came out of the California factory in 2001, features a C-shaped neck with a thick, slackboard-style rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius. Although listed as New Old Stock, the guitar is now 25 years old and boasts a beautiful patina on its Surf Green finish—almost a relic! This Stratocaster is a Yamano model, intended for the Japanese distributor who, according to legend, had a more rigorous selection process for their instruments. This one lives up to its Custom Shop badge and sounds fantastic with its '60s black bottom pickups. Sold without its certificate of authenticity (Fender can reproduce one), in its tweed case.
