Introduced alongside the Thinline and Deluxe models in 1972, the Custom replaces its neck pickup with a Wide Range developed by Seth Lover. The electronics are more comprehensive, featuring independent volume and tone controls for each pickup. This particular model was manufactured in Japan between 1994 and 1995 and is fully functional, although it has numerous dings on the body. It is original except for the tuners and the replacement of the bridge pickup with a Harmonic Design Vintage Plus.
