Gibson Flying V 2 II Natural 1980

Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It wasn't until 1967 that Gibson resumed production of the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). This particular model is the "2," launched in 1979, an updated version (for the time) featuring, among other things, uniquely designed pickups. The body and neck are constructed from a maple and walnut sandwich, maintaining a manageable weight of 3.52 kg, and the fretboard is ebony. Everything is original on this 1980 example, which is in very good condition and comes with its original case.
