Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It wasn't until 1967 that Gibson resumed production of the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). This particular guitar isn't the standard '67 reissue; it's a rare Custom Shop model! It features Burstbucker pickups: a 2 in the neck position and a 3 in the bridge. The neck is very comfortable, thicker than what's often found on this type of guitar. It comes in its original case with a certificate of authenticity.
