This Les Paul is from the Historic Collection series by the Custom Shop (which officially launched in 1993). '54 was the first year of production for the Custom, the flagship model of the Les Paul range: ebony fretboard, abundant binding, split diamond pickups, etc. It has a P90 pickup in the bridge position, but the neck position features something less common: the famous "Staple" Alnico V pickup. Everything on this guitar is original except for the jack plate. Sold with its original case.
