The late 1960s were a time of transition for Gibson. This 1970 Deluxe doesn't have the "Made in USA" badge or the signature scroll. The neck is made of three pieces of mahogany, and the body is already a "pancake" shape. It's a player's guitar; the gold finish on the top is worn, greenish, and cracked—everything we love! The tuners have been replaced, as have the frets, bridge, nut, and toggle switch. It's worth noting that it's not too heavy, weighing in at a modest 4.3 kg!
