For the 2014 model year, the Melody Maker looks more like a Les Paul Special than… a Melody Maker! Mahogany body and neck (50s rounded profile), rosewood fretboard and a pair of P90 pickups here equipped with Alnico V magnets. The worn finish is fragile: the guitar already has a nice patina.
