Gibson Les Paul Standard 1979 Cherry Sunburst

It took a long time for the Kalamazoo firm to finally decide to reintroduce the Standard to its catalog: 15 years! Indeed, after its disappearance in 1960, the Les Paul returned in 1968, but only with mini-humbuckers, P-90s, or equipped with humbuckers as a Custom model. Anyway, here it is, the most famous one, this 1979 Les Paul Standard. This example has a classic Norlin-era construction: mahogany body, three-piece maple top and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are T-Tops, worthy successors to the PAF and Patent. This one shows significant patina; note the remains of a signature on the top and a broken screw in a pickup surround. Sold with a generic case.
