Gibson Les Paul Standard Reissue 1958 Custom Shop Historic 2001 Honey Burst Flametop VOS

The Les Paul R8 typically features a fairly substantial neck and a plain top. However, during this period, highly prized by Les Paul enthusiasts, 1958 models often boasted superb flamed tops. This is the case with this 2001 example, whose Honey Burst top is beautifully flamed. The body and neck are mahogany, and the rosewood fingerboard has a classic 12-inch radius. The pickups are common to Custom Shop models and high-end guitars of the era: a pair of Classic 57s, a reissue of the PAF. It's worth noting that a Bigsby tremolo was installed and then removed. Sold with its original case.
