Gibson X-Plorer Swamp Ash 2004

Launched in 1958 alongside the Flying V, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It would be another 18 years, until 1976, before Explorer production resumed. This particular model is very rare on the market: it's an X-Plorer made not of mahogany, but of swamp ash. The pickups are the classic 495R and 500T ceramic magnet pickups. The top has been refinished, and this beauty is sold in its original case.
