Marshall JMP 1992 Super Bass 100 Watts 1969 & Cabinet 1935 Red Half-Stack
6999,00 €
The Super Bass is a legendary tube amp head, derived from the famous Super Lead (Plexi), but originally designed for bass. It shares a similar architecture to the 1959 Super Lead, but with some differences in voicing, notably a more extended low-end response and slightly different capacitors. Despite its bass design, it has been widely used by famous guitarists (including Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page) for its warm, powerful, and open tone, with a natural, gradual saturation as the volume is increased. This model lacks a master volume and features four inputs (High/Low for each channel), allowing for channel jumpers for greater tonal versatility. With its EL34 tubes, the Super Bass is highly sought after for its authentic vintage Plexi sound, incredible dynamics, and solid construction. It's a cult amp with a unique character, ideal for the studio or the stage… provided you can push it hard!
It is shown here with a 4x12 cabinet, also dating from 1969 (model 1935), in the same color, equipped with four Celestion G12M Greenback Pre-Rola speakers. Made during one of the brand's most sought-after periods, this half-stack is prized by fans of classic rock, blues, and 70s hard rock.
A raw, unadorned setup, without a master volume, that excels when plugged into a good 4x12 cabinet… or two! Superb and very rare in its red color. Approaching its 60th birthday, it's seen better days but works perfectly; the power tubes have just been replaced.
