Marshall Origin 20C Combo

The Origin 20C is a 20W all-tube combo amp that's particularly appealing for recapturing vintage Marshall character in a relatively compact format. It uses three ECC83 preamp tubes and two EL34 power tubes, with a 10" Celestion VT-Junior speaker (V-Type on some early versions). Its single channel is very versatile thanks to the Tilt control, which allows you to switch from a warmer, classic tone to a brighter, high-treble sound, while the Gain Boost adds extra crunch. Powerstem technology allows you to reduce the amp's output from 20W to approximately 3W or 0.5W while preserving its character better than a simple pentode/triode reduction. It also features a footswitchable effects loop, a Presence control, and a master volume. Weighing 13.9 kg, it's an excellent choice for blues, rock and classic rock, particularly effective with pedals, with that dynamic Marshall character rich in harmonics rather than an amp geared towards modern heavy saturation.
