Martin 00-40H Natural 1935

Description :

Here is an extremely rare instrument, even more so on this side of the Atlantic! This 0040H dates from 1935 and has been completely restored, notably to transform it from a Hawaiian to a Spanish guitar. The tuners have been replaced, as has the ebony bridge, and it has been refinished by luthier Alain Quéguiner. The Adirondack top has also been repaired. Note the presence of a Fishman pickup system. It's a 40; the higher the number, the more decorated the guitar: numerous bindings, fretboard inlays, and of course, Brazilian rosewood (admittedly, it's not part of the standard finish, but it's so beautiful!). The 46mm nut width makes it very comfortable for fingerpicking.
