MXR M135 Smart Gate

The Smart Gate is a highly effective analog noise gate, particularly well-suited to busy pedalboards and high-gain amplifiers. It features a single Trigger Level control and three modes: Hiss, Mid, and Full, allowing you to target the high frequencies, mid-range frequencies, or the entire spectrum, respectively. Its circuitry detects playing dynamics to quickly cut noise while allowing sustained notes and sustain to breathe. It's simple, transparent, and very effective against hiss, buzz, and noise generated by multiple pedals, especially with high-gain overdrives and distortions.
