Pensa Custom Guitars MK-D / MK-91 Blue Ice Metallic 2023

The story of Pensa guitars is a beautiful one… Created in 1984 following a meeting between Mark Knopfler and Rudy Pensa in New York, the brand took shape under John Suhr at Rudys Music Stop and continues to this day (without Suhr). Here is a Superstrat, in HSS body shape with a set of active EMG SA-X pickups and a splittable 89 humbucker in the bridge position. The body is made of ash with a carved maple top, the neck is the same wood (flamed and birdseye) with a rosewood fingerboard with a compound radius of 10 to 12 inches. The Ice Blue Metallic finish with matching headstock offers a superb look. Designed to be versatile so that Knopfler no longer has to swap his Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul on stage, this Pensa can do it all, all with a manageable weight of 3.45 kg thanks to its chambered body! Rare on this side of the Atlantic (and the other side too, for that matter), first owner, in excellent condition, sold with its papers in its original case.
