The 4001 (which preceded the 4003) is the quintessential rock bass! With Lemmy Kilmister, Chris Squire, and Cliff Burton as ambassadors, it has long since earned its stripes. This 1974 model is black—or rather, JetGlo, as they say within the Californian brand—and has developed a beautiful patina, revealing the wood on the back and neck. Everything is original except for a modern case and two screws on the tuning machines.
