Roland GR-20

About this instrument

The GR-20 is a guitar synthesizer that transforms electric guitar playing into a multitude of instrument and synthesizer sounds. It offers 469 factory presets and 99 user memory locations, including pianos, organs, strings, brass, saxophones, flutes, basses, synth pads, and percussion. It works with a GK-3 or GK-2A microphone, which individually analyzes each string for note tracking, and offers 48-voice polyphony. It also features chorus, delay, and reverb effects, attack and release controls, an expression pedal, and Hold and Glide functions. It has audio outputs, MIDI inputs, and a function for blending the natural guitar sound with the synthesized sounds.
