Suhr Shiba Drive

The Shiba Drive is an American boutique overdrive pedal particularly renowned for its smooth, warm, and highly dynamic tone, ranging from a bluesy crunch to a thick overdrive with plenty of sustain. It features only Drive, Level, and Tone controls, along with a 3-position Smooth switch that allows you to adjust the treble to varying degrees, transitioning from an open sound to a rounder, more singing lead tone. Its slightly emphasized midrange allows it to cut through the mix without overpowering the character of the guitar or amp. It also works very well as a boost in front of an already overdriven amp, where it adds compression, sustain, and thickness. The original version is especially well-suited for blues, rock, fusion, and classic rock.
