Fender Stratocaster '69 Abby Abigail Ybarra Pickup Set 2009 Custom Shop

About this instrument

The '69 Stratocaster set is a trio of pickups designed to recreate the typical tones of late 1960s Stratocasters. They use Alnico 5 magnets and measure 5.18 kΩ per pickup, which corresponds to a relatively low vintage output level. They deliver a clear, open, and dynamic sound, with crystalline highs, well-defined lows, and slightly scooped mids. This set was hand-wound by the legendary Abby Ybarra, who worked at Fender for decades!
