About this instrument

The OCD V2 (Obsessive Compulsive Drive) is an American analog overdrive and distortion pedal, renowned for its open, dynamic tone, reminiscent of a tube amplifier pushed to its limits. Its circuitry utilizes MOSFETs for clipping and a discrete Class A JFET input, offering excellent sensitivity to pick attack and playing style. It features three controls (Volume, Drive, and Tone) as well as a HP/LP selector switch, allowing you to choose between a more powerful, mid-rich, and gain-heavy sound, or a more open and less saturated response. This V2 also includes an output buffer, an increased input impedance of 1 MΩ, and an internally selectable bypass system (True Bypass and Enhanced Bypass). Versatile, it covers everything from light crunch to heavy rock distortion, with plenty of dynamics and sustain.
