Gibson Flying V Bass 1981 Silverburst

Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a resounding commercial failure. It wasn't until 1967 that Gibson resumed production of the V (and even 1976 for the Explorer). Starting in 1981, Gibson also produced a bass model in very limited quantities (375 units): here's a superb example in Silverburst, no less! The EB and Thunderbird are nice, but the V is much more rock 'n' roll; this one borrows its pickups from the Ripper. Very rare, completely original except for a reinforced jack, sold in a generic case.
