The BubbleTron is a US-made digital modulation pedal, originally designed in collaboration with Larry "Ler" LaLonde (Primus) and inspired by the experimental effects used by Frank Zappa. Much more than a simple phaser or flanger, it combines three main effects: a dynamic filter/Sample & Hold, a dynamic phaser (DynaMoPhase), and a dynamic flanger (DynaFlange), all capable of responding to pick attack rather than following a classic LFO. A second bank of sounds, accessible via internal switches, adds an envelope filter (auto-wah), a traditional phaser, and a classic flanger, bringing the total to six distinct effects. Rate, Depth, Level, and Sensitivity controls allow for fine-tuning the response of each effect, while Vintage and Modern modes alter their sonic character.
