The Plus is a boutique overdrive pedal handcrafted in the USA by David Barber, developed in collaboration with the Five Watt World chain. Inspired by the legendary circuit of the 1977 Boss OD-1, it doesn't aim to be a simple copy but offers a modern, more versatile, and more transparent interpretation. Capable of functioning as a clean boost, treble booster, main overdrive, or tone conditioner, it covers a wide range of sounds thanks to its highly dynamic and playing-sensitive response. Its circuit is designed to preserve the character of the guitar and amp, with a natural grit reminiscent of a tube amp pushed just to the edge of saturation. Made with high-quality components and powered by 9V, it has quickly become a benchmark among modern low-gain overdrives.
