KGR Harmony Arare Overdrive Starry Night

The Arare is a Japanese boutique pedal handcrafted in Iwate Prefecture. Its circuitry is clearly inspired by Timmy's philosophy: a transparent, highly dynamic, and wide-bandwidth overdrive, ranging from a clean boost to a crunch/mid-gain tone. It features Gain, Volume, and a true 3-band EQ (Low/Mid/High), making it particularly versatile and allowing it to be used as a preamp or to drive an already overdriven amplifier. Its striking feature is its traditional Japanese Nanbu-tekki cast iron enclosure, made by the Oitomi foundry, which explains its substantial weight of approximately 730g. The "Arare" motif evokes small hailstones and symbolizes the grains of saturation.
